Prontoport expands its health and safety training offering with new face fit testing service

Prontoport has developed this new service offering in response to demand from existing training customers – many of whom operate in potentially hazardous confined spaces. Face Fit Testing provides workers wearing Respiratory Protection Equipment (RPE) with the best protection possible against any effects from airborne hazardous materials.  By doing so employers will ensure that they are meeting the HSE’s recommendations on Respiratory Equipment at Work Guidance (2013) which states that “…a face-fit test should be carried out to protect the wearer”.

It is important that this testing is done by a specialist trainer using specialist equipment to ensure the best possible seal between your RPE and your face. This will reduce the chances of any dangerous particles entering your mask and your respiratory system. Our trainer can carry out “quantitative” face fit tests for clients throughout the UK, either at clients' premises or our training centre in Irvine, Ayrshire.
