GWO Basic Safety Training (BST) – 5 day Bundle
The Global Wind Organisation (GWO) is an association of Wind Turbine owners and manufacturers whose aim is to support an injury-free work environment in the wind industry.
The Global Wind Organisation (GWO) Basic Safety Training (BST) is designed to provide personnel with the basic skills that will enable them to work in a safe manner in the wind industry and to meet emergency response training requirements for personnel new to the global wind industry.
Upon completion, delegates will possess an awareness of the hazards encountered when working within the wind industry and how to control and mitigate these hazards. The training will equip participants with the knowledge, skills and confidence to appropriately respond in the event of an emergency and to increase their safety through proper use of Personal Protective Equipment, emergency equipment and procedures.
Upon completion, delegates will receive a GWO approved accreditation certification for the 5 separate modules. This information will be uploaded onto the delegates WINDA Account. Each certification is valid for 2 years.
Duration: 5 days
There are no prerequisites for this course, however, delegates must be physically fit enough to attend and carry out the practical element of the course.
Course Content and Key Activities
The course structure will be a mixture of both theoretical and practical training. It covers four separate courses. These courses can also be booked separately if appropriate for the delegate.
